Lovin’ me some mini sessions this year!
What a fun family! Kjersti and Nate have the most adorable two kids whom my girls regularly babysit and have fallen in love with. And who couldn’t adore those precious blond curls of Presli’s? Or Hayes’ reddish blond mohawk? And I love watching KJ and Nate dance and the way they hold each other. I loved Kjersti’s idea of an old Hollywood dressing room shoot with her and Presli…love it! They are such a sweet family and we have loved having them at our church and in our home!!
I really loved these images in black and white. No distractions…just the fun expressions!
Those twins sure are something else. These shoots always crack me up. Running back and forth, bribing with fruit snacks, making silly sounds, playing peek-a-boo…whew! You really work up a sweat! But these kids are too darling…I love seeing how the twins nuzzle up to each other. And the family out takes are some of my favorites. And Emma sure brings on the smiles. Love them all.
This family holds a pretty special place in my heart! I love all things cultural so when Laju suggested doing an Indian themed shoot, I was totally up for it. The hardest part was keeping it under wraps until Diwali had come! Samina and Anayah are so big that every time I see them I literally feel myself getting older. At least Samina smiles for me now though…that child would not smile for a whole year straight whenever I took her pictures! But I guess if you bring Nani along, they will smile for anything. I loved their dresses…the detail work is just beautiful. And watching them interact with their grandparents is always endearing…I have never known a father and grandfather that shows love like Jacky Mahbubani. I love taking pictures of him with his family because the love he feels freely shines through and it warms my heart. Sigh…these pictures make me happy.
Oh My Goodness…this was the funniest, craziest, silliest shoot! It was scheduled for a Saturday evening, but the parents got a flat tire on the way down from Houston so we moved the shoot to sunrise Sunday morning. Aye Carumba…mornings and I are not the best of friends. And then we had all these adorable kids who we all made fools of ourselves for in order to get smiles out of them. We were working and shooting like nuts to try and beat the sun. Snap, snap, snap…we also had to get the kids while they were fresh and still a bit happy…whew! I think all of the adults were amazed we pulled it off by the time we were done. And I love the pictures…they are too cute! My favorites are the parents laughing and the one with all the grandkids…I laugh every time I look at it!
