It’s the first blog post of my brand spankin’ new blog and I couldn’t be more excited to debut it with the birth of baby Natalia! Mommy Ginna Villareal (click here for her awesome fashion blog!) and I met a couple weeks before hand to discuss options for the birth coverage because I certainly don’t want to be up in a friend’s lady parts unless she wants me to capture that whole process…everyone is different and has their own vision of how they would like their birth story captured, so it has become important to meet and get a clear view on the expectations before that big day arrives. And let me tell you…I am a nervous wreck with excitement before births. With Ginna’s I had a nightmare that I had missed her call in the middle of the night and she had gone into labor. Ahhhhh! Would have died if that had happened! And then when Ginna really did go into labor, baby Natalia took her own sweet time getting here…until the end when she decided she had obviously had enough waiting around and popped out within 2 pushes. Crazy how fast she slipped out! Love that Ginna is all smiles as she is in labor…who is supposed to look that good as they push a human being out, right? And I also love that Dr. Vela holds her up at proudly as if she were his own. Natalia was (and still is) absolutely adorable…so petite and delicate looking! Her features were just precious. I spent the next hour or so at Doctor’s Hosptial at Renaissance hanging out and chatting with everyone while snapping away at all of Natalia’s firsts…first time seeing mom, dad, grandma, brother and sister…first time breastfeeding, first time holding mom’s hand. I just love being able to witness and capture all of those sweet moments. Births are so freakin’ awesome. I don’t ever get tired of shooting them.
