Anyone hip to the newest craze?!  These flash tattoos are freaking amazing!  For our JV volleyball team shoot, Ginna Villareal gave us some beautiful flash tattoos to use and boy did we use them!  Actually my oldest Abby, who wasn’t even in the shoot, hogged them all taking 5 just for herself!!!  Even Summer and my youngest Ella put some on and they ALL got raves about them at school.  EVERYONE wanted to know what they were and where to get them.  So, Josh and a couple of her friends put a few on and I got some shots of them with their pretty outfits and sparkly bands.

Ginna also was sweet to loan us some of her beautiful statement necklaces from her shop which you can check out HERE.  LOVE THEM!  I want the green one…so, so pretty.  I may dress in the same black yoga pants and volleyball t-shirt everyday, but I do know pretty jewelry when I see it and these are gorgeous in person.  Wish my camera could do them justice!!

My girls just drool over everything Ginna has to offer; she has such great style and does more than just run her boutique.  She offers personal styling and shopping, organizes closets, blogs and is a mommy to two beautiful little girls and two gorgeous step children!  I am lucky I get to photograph her and see her kiddos grow up.  I always love talking to her…she is such a riot.  And has such a generous heart and is always willing to help.  So be sure an check out her amazing website and all the wonderful things she has to offer…you won’t be disappointed!!!

Although we currently don’t regularly book weddings, it was lots of fun to capture the getting ready portion of Laura’s wedding day.  My favorite part was watching her with all her sisters.  It was like a little glimpse into my future with my own daughters!!!  Lovely to witness!  Congratulations and many blessings to her family…

What a fun shoot this was!!!  Part of the fun of being a photographer is deciding when I want to use my knowledge and come up with fun ideas for my daughters!  My freshman daughter Josh made the JV Dark volleyball team this year at McHi (woot woot!) and she and I were talking about something that we could do that was fun for the entire team.  Well, we all know that I don’t cook…and I’m not super crafty…so, that meant PHOTOSHOOT!  It was thrown together in two days and we put our makeup/getting ready/salon/closet and beauty room to good use with 12 girls all getting hair and makeup and wardrobe done at the same time.  A big thanks to Eva Wilson (Jaycee’s mom) for coming and doing makeup and to Stacy Solis (Sarah’s mom) who came and took behind the scene shots!  And a SUPER big thanks to Ginna Villareal (you can find her site HERE) who helped with they styling and provided some awesome tatts and jewelry (a second blog post to follow on those!)

These girls have worked incredibly hard this season.  Josh has come home with stories about running stadiums, running the mile, scrimmaging against varsity and coming home exhausted.  I have seen these girls practice, practice and practice, and then go to a game and totally kill it.  I have loved cheering them on and watching them progress as a team.  They are all extremely talented and dedicated and although I may just be Josh’s mom, I know each of them by name and am concerned for their welfare and success.  Great season girls…go McHi!

Roxanna was totally a trooper.  She put that fabulous dress on and we walked through the wet and mudiness of the field (remember those heavy rains again!)… it did not matter, she totally leaned on a tree that had ants crawling up and down it, she battled the mosquitoes!  Sometimes it’s not easy making great images, but she made these images some of my favorites that I’ve ever taken for a belly session.  To me, they are just fantastic!  She totally rocked it!

I really loved these images in black and white.  No distractions…just the fun expressions!

Those twins sure are something else.  These shoots always crack me up.  Running back and forth, bribing with fruit snacks, making silly sounds, playing peek-a-boo…whew!  You really work up a sweat!  But these kids are too darling…I love seeing how the twins nuzzle up to each other.  And the family out takes are some of my favorites.  And Emma sure brings on the smiles.  Love them all.
